Stargazing Sensation
Alila Villas Soori introduces its upcoming program devoted to those with a penchant for universal wonders and admiration of the skies, with its astronomer in residence from May 18-24, 2013.
Taking place just before the sun downs over the shores of Kelating, the Astronomy Class starts 16:00 - 17:30 with an introduction to astronomy and a bit of storytelling on Indonesian folklore related to celestial objects; a ‘star lore’ session to introduce aspects of astronomy in Indonesian culture.
As the stars begin the reveal in the wide open skies over the resort, the Star Party or Observation Session commences 20:00 - 21:30, observing the night sky alongside a planetarium show and telescope training. Among the anticipated highlights would be an astrophotography session so prepare your camera and enjoy a truly a stargazing event beyond mere stargazing.
